Joe Habben is a British photographer and artist based between the UK and Italy.

Joe Habben’s practice focuses on the reciprocal relationship between natural and urban environments with recent projects addressing themes, including human intervention, public space, globalisation, and the climate crisis. 

Joe has exhibited at ARTEFIERA, Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Royal Geographical Society, and Street Level Photoworks. His work has appeared in the British Journal of Photography, PhMuseum, VICE, Creative Review, La Repubblica, and The Guardian. His series In Moleca won the Earth Photo: A Climate of Change award in 2021.

Working across both commercial and nonprofit sectors, his clients include KesselsKramer, United Nations FCC, Bloomberg and the Scottish FA.
He founded Catalyst Studios in 2022, a non-profit, co-working space that supports Glasgow's creative community and fosters local talent in Scotland.

Currently based in Italy, he participated in the Fabrica Research Centre residency in Treviso 2023-24 and is now developing his ongoing project La Laguna Resiste whist participating in the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa Atelier 2024–25.
